Midget AAA Earn 4th Straight Alliance Championship!
Thursday night the Jr Knights travelled to Waterloo to take on the Wolves in Game 6 of the best of 7 Alliance Finals.  The Jr Knights held a 3-2 series lead going into the game...

The Jr Knights held a 2-1 lead at the end of the 1st with goals from Spencer Hutchinson (29) and Rai DiLoreto (29).

In the second the Jr Knights scored a another 2 goals and the Wolves only managed 1 so London was 20 minutes from a Championship holding a 4-2 lead.  Sam Vokes (17) and Nathan Marcil (12) had the goals.

Austin Kemp (35) had the only goal of the 3rd period giving the Jr Knights a 5-2 win and a 4-2 series win over the Waterloo Wolves.  The series win gave the Jr Knights their 4th straight Alliance Championship and 7th in the last 9 years.

The Jr Knights now move on to the Telus Cup Central Regionals in Brockville, ON.  They will face the other 4 league champions along with the host team.  The winner of the Regional tournament moves on to the Telus Cup in Sault Ste Marie, ON and will represent the Central Region (Ontario) in the National Championship.  In the 2011 Regional's the Jr Knights were crowned Champions and represented the Alliance, Ontario and the Central Region at the Telus Cup in St. John's, NL.

So far all league champions have been determined other than the GNML that will be decided this weekend.  The GTHL team who the Jr Knights open the tournament against is the Vaughan Kings.  The OMHA team is the Whitby Wildcats who are making their 2nd straight appearance at the Regionals.  The OEMHL champions are the Ottawa Jr 67's.  The 67's are familiar with the Regional tournament as well, having been there for the last 4 years as well.  The host team in Brockville will be the Upper Canada Cyclones.  The Cyclones are making their 1st appearance at the event this year.  The GNML series will be determined this weekend between the Sault Ste Marie North Stars and the Kapuskasing Flyer.  The North Stars hold a 2-0 series lead in the best of 5 matchup.
