GAME DAY ARRIVAL: Please arrive no earlier than ONE HOUR and no later than ONE HALF HOUR prior to the youth hockey game.
PARKING: Please do not park anywhere in the East Gate area. Cars have been towed. The Joe Louis Parking Structure (map enclosed) on Jefferson Avenue will open for the youth hockey game. However, the structure does not open any earlier than ONE hour prior to the youth hockey game. (please read the complete article!)
GAME ENTRANCE: All coaches, players, family and friends are to enter Joe Louis Arena through the East Gate Entrance (see enclosed map). Once in the arena, proceed up to the SECOND LEVEL CONCOURSE using the elevators or the stairs at the East Gate. Assemble your team near the Little Caesars Pizza stand. Once the team is assembled, a Red Wing representative will escort only the team, 4 coaches and 1 penalty box attendant to their locker room. PLEASE LET PARENTS AND ALL OTHER TEAM SUPPORTERS KNOW THEY WILL NOT BE ALLOWED PAST THE EAST GATE RECEPTION AREA. Coaches assume all responsibility with player equipment or dressing. Anyone refusing to follow this rule will be asked to leave Joe Louis Arena.
SEATING FOR YOUTH GAME: Have parents/families/friends sit in sections 120,121,122,123, which are behind players benches.
POST GAME PARENTS, FAMILY AND FRIENDS: Once kids are dressed, coaches will take the children to the East Gate reception area (where you entered) to meet parents.
EQUIPMENT: All players must remove their equipment from the building after the youth game.
CLEARING THE BUILDING: Joe Louis Arena will be cleared after the youth hockey game. The following is a schedule of times the building will be cleared and doors will re-open for the Red Wings game:
