JR KNIGHTS SWEEP JR RANGERS FOR 6TH STRAIGHT ALLIANCE TITLE!
by Scott Greguol: The Jr Knights carry on what's become a yearly tradition each March, Win the Alliance Championship. 

Despite only finishing 1st in regular season play once over the past 6 season, the Jr Knights won Sunday afternoon in Kitchener to secure their 6th straight Alliance Championship. 

The Jr Knights swept the Cambridge Hawks 3-0 in the quarter finals and they went a full 6 games against the Lambton Jr Sting in the semi finals.

On Sunday afternoon the Jr Knights won 5-4 in OT to sweep the Kitchener Jr Rangers 4-0 in the Alliance Finals. Brandon Glover lead the Alliance in playoff scoring with 8 goals and 15 ​assists for a total of 23 points in 12 games played.  Ethan Nother was second with 12 goals and 9 assists while defenceman Curtis Ferreira was third with 6 goals and 13 assists. In playoff action Zack Weir went 6-1-1 with a GAA of 2.26 to lead the Alliance while Ryan Langford was 4-1-0 with a 2.66 GAA. 

With the Alliance Championship complete the Jr Knights have now qualified for the 2015 TELUS Cup Central Regionals in Toronto during the week of March 30th - April 5th.  They will face the host Toronto Nationals, GTHL's Don Mills Flyers, OMHA's Whitby Wildcats, OEMHL's Ottawa Senators and the GNML's Soo Thunderbirds. The event is a week long tournament kicking off on Monday March 30th when the Jr Knights will face the Don Mills Flyers in the opening game at 2:30pm at Westwood Arena in Etobicoke.  

The tournament ​WINNER will advance to the 2015 TELUS Cup in Riviere du Loup, QC and represent the Central Region.  The Jr Knights only TELUS Cup appearance was in 2011 when they finished with the Silver medal falling to the Winnipeg Thrashers in the Gold Medal Game in St. John's, NL.
