Drew Doughty Tournament Champs
Congratulations to all players on the U11AAA team for a championship effort this past weekend.
The players tackled a difficult schedule this weekend beating some very strong teams. In pool play the boys secured victories over the Quinte Red Devils 2-1, Toronto Titans 6-2, Ottawa Valley Silver Seven 4-2 and the Burlington Eagles 8-2 in divisional play to secure the top seed in Pool C. In the semi finals the players faced a very tough Elgin Middlesex Chiefs team, only earning a 4-3 victory with 2.4 seconds left in the game to secure a berth in the Championship Game. In the finals, the boys jumped early on the Chatham Cyclones to earn the Drew Doughty Championship by a score of 11-0.
