2022 U16 AA Champs!!!
What a great end for this team!! Never any doubt in my mind that this is where we would end up.....CHAMPIONS!
I have been apart of minor hockey for many years, seeing many on this team grow into incredible young men. So it is with a heavy heart that I am planning to hang up the whistle now to become a spectator and cheer our JLK's on from behind the glass. Ups and downs have always been apart of minor hockey but it is how you manage that and bring the absolute best out of every single player that brings a team success. I have not been alone in this effort and want to thank everyone who has assisted along the way....I could not have experienced the success mentioned above without all of your support.
Which brings me to this team and this this group of young men......"from last to first" is how I have heard this season described. I couldn't disagree more. I knew from the the moment the draft was finalized that we had a special team, and I was not wrong. From the net out we never lost focus and worked our tails off to end the way we did. Did we have some misshapes along the way? yes, but we always rallied and came back. I am so impressed and couldn't be more proud of the compete this team showed to end our season!!! Character and commitment to the end is how I would describe this team....couldn't be more proud!
As this season ends and we gear up for September, I cannot wait to see you all at the rink this summer and fall to hear what hockey has in store for you. However it ends up, as long as you stay on the ice having fun I feel that I have done something right.
