Ø       Tiebreakers carry forward identically to the tiebreaker formula listed below.

IF THREE OR MORE TEAMS ARE TIED

Position of the tied teams will be determined by:

Ø       The team with the clear best record in games among the tied teams. (If one team is superior, the tiebreaker formula does not revert to the two team format).

Ø       The team with the best goal average (defined below).

Ø       The team with the most goals for.

Ø       The team with the least goals against.

Ø       The team with the least penalty minutes.

Ø       If still tied, the winner will be decided by drawing playing cards (ACE HIGH/HIGH CARD WINS).

9.       Stop time will be used with the exception of when there is a five (5) goal difference, straight time will begin from the beginning of the third period if there is a five (5) goal difference or greater.  Minor penalties will be 3 minutes straight running time.  Major penalties will be five minutes in duration.  Straight time will continue throughout the game from that point forward, regardless of change in score.  Stop time will be used in all playoff games regardless of the score.

13.   VANDALISM OCCURRING IN ANY OF OUR ARENAS WILL BE REPORTED TO THE TOURNAMENT OFFICIALS WHO IN TURN WILL SUBMIT A BILL TO THE OFFENDING TEAM.  IN ORDER TO AVOID OCCURRENCES, PLEASE ENSURE A TEAM OFFICIAL CHECKS THE DRESSING ROOM YOU ARE USING BOTH BEFORE THE PLAYERS ENTER, TO ENSURE THERE IS NO DAMAGE AND AFTER ALL THE PLAYERS HAVE LEFT.  THERE IS NO SHOOTING OF PUCKS, BALLS OR GOLF BALLS IN THE DRESSING ROOM HALLWAYS OR THE ARENA LOBBY.  THERE ARE SIGNS DISPLAYED TO THIS EFFECT.  PLEASE ADVISE YOUR PLAYERS AND COACHING STAFF ACCORDINGLY.

Goal Average

The goal average of a team is to be determined by dividing the total number of goals for and against into total number of goals for, with the team having the highest percentage winning the higher position.

Example:          For 10 goals, Against 4 goals      Percentage 10/14 = .714

                      For 10 goals, Against 5 goals      Percentage 10/15 = .667

In this example .714 goal average wins the tie breaker
