Minor Peewee AA Green – Back to Back Champs!!!
Submitted By Webmaster on Monday, September 23, 2019
The Minor Peewee AA Green team took part in the 2019 Kawartha Lakes AA Tournament during the weekend of September 20th – 22nd. The players did a great job at going undefeated in the round robin games giving us a bye to the semi-finals. This allowed the players, siblings and parents to have a full day to enjoy the cottage resort; swimming, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, paddle boating and getting to know each other sitting around a campfire.

As players and parents gathered at the water’s edge Sunday morning watching the sunrise, it was tough to leave the resort, but the players were set on getting 2 more wins. We played the host team in the semi-finals and with a 4-2 victory, we would be playing in the final game for the second year in a row. The final game was tight all the way through and it would end in a 1-1 tie after regulation time. Playing 4 on 4 in the OT period, it only took 28 seconds for the players to end the game with a 2-1 win and becoming back to back champions.
Congratulations players on your win and for representing the London Junior Knights respectfully. Great job!
