IMPORTANT: COVID Positive - LJK organization member
Submitted By Webmaster on Sunday, November 8, 2020
On November 07, 2020,  the LJK Crisis team was notified that we have a member of our organization who has tested positive for COVID 19.  We will not be disclosing whether this person is a parent, player or staff member, or what team/division this has impacted; not only do we respect the individuals right to medical privacy but we are required by law to keep this confidential.  If you or your player is impacted by this positive case you will be contacted directly by the Middlesex London Health Unit's Trace and Tracking team. If you have any concerns specifically about potential exposure please contact the Middlesex London Health Unit, they are well equipped to advise you on how you should proceed.

As the COVID numbers in our community continue to rise we are appealing to all Parents and Guardians to take the precautions seriously.  We are putting a great deal of trust in all of you, and if you break that trust you not only put our players safety at risk, but the safety of the community at large,  and the status of our hockey program.

We all need to work together to ensure we keep our players safe. For this to work,  we need you to answer the questionnaires honestly, not gather in groups, wear your mask, and stay away from the rink if you have symptoms, or are actively being tested for COVID 19.

With that said, based on the events in the last 12 hours,  we as a team will be revisiting our decision to continue to allow parents to attend our programs.  There will be more to come on the outcome of this decision at a later time.

For now, we are following all Public Health directions and recommendations at this time. We will continue to take every reasonable precaution to protect the continued safety of our players, our bench staff and our community.  LJK, The City of London and the Western Fair have put precautions in place that if followed help to reduce the risk of COVID spread amongst our groups,  and  help all of us continue to enjoy the game that we love.

Respectfully,

LJK Crisis team
