LJK SPECTATOR PROHIBITION
Submitted By Webmaster on Friday, November 13, 2020
In recent days, the London Junior Knights Board of Directors have been inundated with questions and concerns related to the spread of Covid-19 and the potential impact this may have on the rest of our season.  We have also had important  communications with our local Health Unit.

Regrettably, we anticipate that because of the dramatic rise in Covid-19 cases, London Middlesex is likely to be downgraded Provincially from Green to Yellow in the near future.  Speculation of this has been widely reported in the local media.  With each passing day we grow increasingly concerned about the viability of our hockey season.

Given this context, the London Junior Knights Board of Directors held an Emergency Board Meeting last night.  At last night's meeting we reaffirmed our commitment to the players in our program and we decided that we would take all preventative steps necessary in an effort to guarantee their season - at least to the extent that we can.

With that mandate in mind, the LJK Board of Directors is implementing a NEW SPECTATOR PROHIBITION effective Friday, November 13 at 11:59 pm.  Effective tonight at 11:59, NO SPECTATORS AT ALL will be allowed to attend for the purpose of LJK practices or games.  This rule takes effect for the following two weeks, after which time we will provide an update.

Please understand that we do not take these actions lightly and that our spectator prohibition is not meant to be punitive.  Our intention in implementing these drastic measures is to try to save our season - for our players.
