The London Knights Hockey Club is pleased to introduce the Harrison Pensa Minor Hockey Player of the Month contest, recognizing a minor hockey player in the London area that demonstrates leadership both on and off the ice, is an activist in the community, and demonstrates effort in the classroom. The Knights, along with Harrison Pensa, are committed to serving the community of London by recognizing those who make positive choices in their lives.
The Harrison Pensa Minor Hockey Player of the Month will be selected at the beginning of each month. The winner will be welcomed at ice level during the opening ceremonies at a London Knights home game. They will also have the opportunity to have their picture and a description of their leadership, community activism, and classroom effort posted on the London Knights webpage for the entire month, as well as be featured in an issue of Knightly News. Additionally, the winning player will receive a behind the scenes experience at a Knights home game, which includes 2 London Knights tickets and an exclusive dressing room tour.
“We’re proud to be a part of such a great contest recognizing those who give back in their community and are a part of the minor hockey program here in the London area,” General Manager and Head Coach Mark Hunter stated.
“We are proud to launch this program”, says Geoff Pulford, CEO of Harrison Pensa. “Minor hockey offers young people tremendous opportunities to learn new skills including discipline, sportsmanship and teamwork. Playing is winning in our books and we look forward to recognizing the efforts of our young players with this exciting program.”
