Stratford, ON - ALLIANCE Hockey today officially announced that the 2012 Minor Midget AAA All-Star Game will be played on Saturday, December 15, 2012  1:00pm at the Western Fair Sports Centre, London, ON

The All-Star Game will feature 40 of the best Minor Midget AAA players in the ALLIANCE.  The event will feature "Team Doughty vs Team Carter".  Along with the big game, there will be interactive games, vendors, draw prizes and giveaways!  Admission is $2.00 with proceeds going back to U16 Team ALLIANCE.

Once selected, U16 Team ALLIANCE will participate in the 2013 OHL Gold Cup, May 9-12, 2013 in Kitchener, ON.

The process to select players to attend the Ontario Under-17 Camp will change as of the 2012-2013 season as the traditional Regional Camps hosted by the Member Partners and respective Branches will be replaced with an event entitled the OHL Gold Cup.
The OHL Gold Cup will become an annual event created to feature Ontario's top Under-16 talent. This event will not only showcase Ontario's talent, but is an evaluation and selection process for the Ontario Under-17 Camp.  From the Ontario Under-17 Camp, the top 22 players will be selected to represent Ontario at the World Under-17 Challenge.  With eight teams and more than 160 players representing their Member Partner or Branch, the future of Canadian hockey will be on display at the OHL Gold Cup.

The 2013 OHL Gold Cup participating teams are:

Team ALLIANCE             Team NOHA                    Team HNO                             Team ODHA
Team OMHA (1)            Team OMHA (2)              Team GTHL (1)                      Team GTHL (2)

ALLIANCE Hockey and the Ontario Hockey Federation are very excited to host the inaugural 2013 OHL Gold Cup in Kitchener, Ontario from May 9 - 12, 2013.
