Nations Cup (part 2)
CANADA WINS NATIONS CUP
Congratulations to the LJK Green team who, along with 5 other Canadian teams, proudly represented Canada at the 2013 Nations Cup in Warren, Michigan USA this past weekend.
Wins over St Clair Shores(9-3), Oakland(6-2) and Cleveland(6-3) along with a tie to Afton (St. Louis) 1-1 allowed them to finish in 1st place and set up a rematch with Afton. The boys came up a bit short in the rematch losing 7-2 but the score was not indicative of the game as 3 empty net goals helped create the lopsided scored.
In the end, Canada won the point series 15-6 and skated off with the Nations Cup.
A great experience for the kids as they represented their country with a strong effort and unparalleled sportsmanship.
