A Season To Remember

Knights Green...what a terrific season! You went farther than many folks said you would!
Although tonight's defeat was heartbreaking, you left it all on the ice, just like your coaches asked you to do. Thanks to your tenacity and your unwillingness to give up even in the face of some really hard hitting in the corners and some very aggressive play in our end, and of course that amazing penalty shot goal by Tusty, as a team you tied up the game and forced overtime play. Wow! Talk about exciting! A disallowed goal in OT gave the team another chance but it wasn't to be.
In the end, you made your coaches and parents proud as you shook hands with the winning team and accepted defeat graciously. Think of how far you came this season. A special thanks to Coaches Steve, and D'Arcy, and Mike and Bob for dedicating so much time and energy to creating a team out of 19 individual hockey players and for continually working to get the best out of every player.
