This years Nations Cup had its share of tough competition and provided everyone with some great hockey games to watch.
Excitement was the word for the weekend with a tournament opening 9-1 win, a hard fought 4-4 tie, a 1-0 win with a last minute goal and a 2-1 loss while out shooting the other team 24-10.
This left us as the first seed in our division for Canada and lead to a final face off against the United States 5th ranked Cleveland Barons.
The back and forth battle ended in a 3-3 tie through regulation time and the game would be decided in a shoot out. We remained tied after 3 shooters until after a save by Anthony Kranidis, Justin Sanders was able to put it away with a back hand shelf.
It was a great weekend and we the coaches are proud of the effort put forth by the whole team and the character shown.
A special mention to the the Green team who lost in the finals of their division.
Congratulations Everyone!!
