A NOTE TO ALL PLAYERS..
NOTE TO PARENTS AND PLAYERS
I wanted to take a minute to introduce myself and welcome everyone trying out for the U15 London Junior Knights.
All tryout information will be posted on the U15 AAA, then U15 AA green page.
Upon the conclusion of tryouts, the U15 AA WHITE team will be listed here.
As you know, the Junior Knights have undergone some changes in the team selections this year, but as the coach of the Tier 2 AA team, I want to make a few points clear to all players trying out.
Firstly, I have a non parent, (Ryan Foster) who will be a completely unbiased evaluator (and eventual assistant coach) with experience playing professionally in Austria and Sweden as well as coaching in a Head Coach capacity in Germany's DEL 2 league (second highest pro league in Germany). Ryan will not be given any background information regarding any players and will evaluate all players 100% on ability, attitude and work ethic.
Secondly, it is my intention that the U15 LJK white team compete as a AA team all year.
Our team goal is to compete for the OHF title with the top AA teams. We relish the challenge and our players should too. We will have a strict dress code, player behaviour expectations, pregame routine and a disciplined "team first" on-ice strategy. Players will need to buy into our system. We'll be looking for players who are selfless, well-mannered and can skate like the wind!
this is an exciting year for U15's. We are in an OHF year. So not matter what happens after the seeding round, our goal is to win an OHF title.
We just want to make our expectations and goals crystal clear. Our team will be run professionally with high commitment and behaviour expectations of our staff, players and families. We will be using all of the resources at our disposal to give this team a year like no other. It will be challenging - yes - but also extremely rewarding.
We hope all players who are not successful in AAA, or AA Green are as excited about playing for us as we are to have them. We can't wait for this season to start.
Good Luck to everyone trying out!
