Barney's (Ceeps)
Barney's (Ceeps)
Barney’s Lounge is the sophisticated older brother to Barney’s outdoor patio. One of London’s oldest and most popular night spots, Barney’s was recently renovated from wall to wall and top to bottom. The design and hard work that was put into it’s makeover was done to create a vibrant destination for those who appreciate nightlife with style. The atmosphere achieved has an metropolitan yet laid-back air to it. The B-Lounge offers an exciting bar to order from, live DJs and live music on the regular and perhaps the coolest edge London nightlife has had in years. Barney’s lounge isn’t just the place to be, but experience. The Ceeps Built and opened in 1890, The Ceeps is one of London’s oldest bars. It is an iconic place not just in the Forest City, but known across Canada and further. Thousands upon thousands have attended the University of Western Ontario over the last 120 years, many off them making our tavern their second home. If you mention it in conversation, depending on who you’re with, it’s not all that rare for your company to comment “Oh The Ceeps… ” or “…I lived there for a few years when I went to Western”. While many little things have changed over the years, The Ceeps has maintained it’s true identity, a genuine university pub and a favorite for students and alumni. Due to it’s proximity to Western, at one time, it was the closest place to the university that students would frequent to unwind and be social. It even functioned as a hotel until the late 70s
