Congratulations to the team on a solid playoff comeback victory in the finals. The boys were down 5 points to 1, but battled back with 4 straight wins to claim the series win.
A great season by the boys and coaching staff John Sonier, Scott Wain, Pat Dobie, and Oliver Shanks. Thanks to everyone for a great year!

The Minor Bantam Green team was invited to take part in the AAA Nations Cup tournament over the weekend.  The boys were up against some tough AAA competition from the US, but competed hard, and were able to come away with two ties to help Team Canada in it's quest for the title. Their biggest game was against Detroit Compuware, where they battled hard to a 2-2 tie, giving them confidence for the remainder of the weekend. Special mention to Eric Kennedy for his solid play and heart throughout the tourney.  In the end, Canada won the title, and the boys came home with some hardware!
Coach Sonier was extremely proud of the boys in how they stepped up and supported one another through every tough game they played. The team bond is even stronger through this experience, and these boys are a real family. In all his years of playing and coaching, he has never seen such heart in a team.
Great effort boys. Let's keep that intensity up right through the playoffs!

The boys competed in the Silver Stick qualifier this past weekend in Stratford. They went undefeated in the round robin, and won an overtime thriller against a strong team from Guelph in the semifinal. A hard fought battle in the final versus the Burlington Eagles ended up being decided in the final seconds of the game, and the team wound up on the wrong side of a 1-0 score. Congrats to the boys and coaches on some solid hockey over the weekend! Keep that momentum going boys!

The boys did some inspiring work this weekend, both on and off the ice. They played solid hockey over the course of the weekend against some very tough Toronto area teams, losing a close game to the Mississauga Jets in the semi finals. More importantly, donning their all pink jerseys in support of ICE'd PINK, a hockey fundraising program developed to create a future without breast cancer. The players, parents, families and friends have raised close to $5000 since Friday.
Great work boys, we are all very proud of your efforts!
A special thanks to John Sonier, Jill Mills, John DiSebastiano, the McKellars, and all the little sisters for their efforts with the fundraising, and Mike Poulin and New Era Grafix for creating and donating such great uniforms.
