Coach4Food - gets support from local school and community members.

LJK 1 - Hunger 0

On Monday, January 25th London Junior Knights Minor Bantam AA Green players Sean Aitken, Ethan Blair and Aidan Long were joined by London Knights Goaltending Coach Dave Rook, current Knight Goalie Brendan Burke, former Knight Goalie Gene Chiarello, as well as Jane Roy of the London Food Bank to kick off the Coach4Food program at Byron Northview Public School.

Sean, Ethan and Aidan in support of Coach4Food will be leading a food drive at their school, between February 1st to 5th in support of the London Food Bank to inspire positive change in their school community. Their efforts align with Byron Northview Public School's goal of creating effective problem solvers of today and strong community leaders of tomorrow!

Working in partnership with the Ontario Hockey League, the Coach4Food programs objective is to raise thousands of pounds of food for Londoners in need.

To help the Coach4Food program meet their objective, last week, the LJK Minor Bantam AA Green team has been working together collecting food donations throughout London. The team has faced frigid temperatures going door to door collecting food, as well as taking additional time out between games and practices to collect donations at the Wonderland Road South Loblaws.

We would like to Thank everyone who has joined us in supporting this initiative so far.

Please join the team and their continued efforts over the next couple of weeks as they will be out in the community to
