2016/17 International Silverstick Silver Medalists
WOW!! Another great weekend of hockey for the Atom AA White boys.......
I expected this tournament to be one of the toughest this team would face this year and I wasn't wrong! From the first drop of the puck we were going against the best this province and US had to offer losing our first match 4-3 in a very tight game that could have gone either way. The boys rallied back and won the next 4 games that were all battles....the highlight being, beating Caledon who we lost to in the finals of our Regional qualifier. Our final couldn't have played out any better going up against the Mississauga Terriers ranked #2 in the province and who we lost to in our opening game. A great game and battle losing 3-1 with an empty net in the final seconds. Would like to finish with a quote that a friend brought to me that I found fitting, "There are few things as enjoyable as being part of a team where everyone competes fearlessly, not carelessly. No matter what the scoreboard says, you always win......". so very proud of everyone on this team! GO WHITE GO!!!
