DR. DAVID LAWRENCE (H)BSc., OD Dr. Lawrence graduated with distinction and summa cum laude from McMaster University with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/Pharmacology. He then went on to earn his Doctor of Optometry from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry. Currently, he is working towards his Fellowship in the American Academy of Optometry. While he enjoys all areas of vision care, he has a special interest in paediatrics, binocular vision disorders and specialty contact lens fitting. Outside of the office, Dr. Lawrence spends his time playing hockey, running, theatre and traveling. ×

Yogability

ogability offers private, adapted yoga classes for everyone, regardless of cognitive, physical, or emotional challenges. I work closely with each client's rehabilitation team and insurance provider, tailoring each yoga session to best meet every client's unique needs. As an occupational therapist for nearly 20 years, my role has been to help people learn how to perform their daily activities again, following illness or disability. I specialize in helping my clients learn new ways to do the activities they need-- and love-- to do for themselves. I have experience treating people with a variety of challenges, such as spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, autism, cerebral palsy, cancer, ALS, chronic pain, and orthopaedic issues. I've also been practicing yoga since 2002. At first it was in fits and starts. Back then, I was frustrated because I never moved gracefully like my instructors. I wasn't lithe like they were, and I certainly I couldn't bend like them. I was so uncoordinated that I somehow managed to fall on my neck in the middle of a class. But eventually I started to let go of the image of what I thought I "should" be able to do in yoga, and instead learned to modify my practice in ways that respect what my body can do. Once I did this, everything seemed to click into place, and I fell in love with the sense of calm focus that I experienced through yoga. Three years ago, I became a 300-hour level yoga instructor. Now, I combine my experience as an occupational therapist with with my passion for yoga, using modified techniques to help everyone, regardless of ability, enjoy the benefits of practice. I've taught yoga to people in wheelchairs, who use walkers, who have vestibular challenges that make them dizzy and nauseous with minimal movement. Anyone can practice yoga, but many people need to adapt yoga to make it work for them. I use my skills as an OT to show people how this is done. ×

Don-Mor Carstar Collision and Automotive was founded by Don Morton in 1980. The original shop was located on Egerton Street in London, Ontario. The shop moved to it’s current location in 1996 at 1056 Brydges Street in London Ontario. As luck would have it, the new location became very convenient when the London Collision Reporting Center opened up across the street in 1998. Don again expanded the current location in 2006 to include a Mechanical shop. Since then Don Mor has been a full service collision repair and mechanical facility.
