Congratulations Boy's!

Great job this past weekend becoming The AA Cup Minor Atom Champs.
As players you should be very proud of your accomplishments!

Our Extended long weekend began with us playing The Niagara Falls Flyers in an exhibition game at The Meridian Center in St. Catharines on Thursday afternoon.  The game was fast paced and exciting for the parents to watch and the kids to play.  LJK came out on top with a 6-1 Victory, then met up again with the Flyer Players for a post game meal.  Afterwards it was back to The Meridian Centre to take in the OHL game between our London Knights and the hometown Ice Dawgs.  The game was exciting for all, the kids even got a chance to meet with one of The Knight players and get some fist pumps after the game when the boys were leaving.  Thanks much to Colin Macdonald with The Knights for setting that up, and a huge thanks to Doug E for setting this whole pre tournament event up.

Now the team headed out to the main event, to Participate in The Cup AA North American Championship being hosted in Buffalo NY and to their first Outdoor Winter Classic Game.  The boys prevailed in game one Winning 5-3 vs The Buffalo Regals.  In game 2 the boys dug in even harder playing their second outdoor game of the tournament winning 4-0 vs Skaneateles Lakers.   Game 3 saw us take on a The Mississauga Beast ( a team we played a week earlier in the Paul Coffey Tournament winning 4-3), and while the boys played a great game we came up a bit short losing 4-3.  Game 4 saw us take on The Cheektowaga Warriors in the home barn - The LJK boys had a bit of a burn in their souls (after the loss to Mississauga) and came out flying winning 10-2.  With a 3-1 Record we were off to the Semifinals for a rematch with The Buffalo Regals.  This game was played outdoors again - LJK got off to a great start and never looked back winning 8-1 and advancing to the Finals against The Mississauga Beast!   Again the game was fast paced with lots of action, but our boys came away with a 4-1 Win becoming The AA Cup North American Champions!

This kids played 7 games in 4 days outscoring their opponents 40-12.
