ETHAN NOTHER RECEIVES NCAA D1 SCHOLARSHIP WITH BEMIDJI STATE UNIVERSITY
4 years ago Ethan Nother played Midget AAA for the London Jr. Knights, the previous year Ethan played Midget AA for the Jr. Knights. During the 14-15 season, Ethan led the team in points with 97 (tied with Brandon Glover), goals with 44 and shorthanded goals with 7 in 70 games.
The team finished the season with a silver medal at the Telus Cup Regional tournament, losing to the eventual National Telus Cup winner Toronto Young Nats.
After graduating from Midget AAA, Ethan played Jr. B for two seasons with St. Thomas Stars and London Nationals. Ethan then headed to the Victoria Grizzlies (BCHL) team to continue his success leading the team in goals with 26, had 33 assists in 58 games and 5 goals and 5 assists in 10 games of playoff hockey.
Ethan is an undersized highly skilled forward who has always had to battle through size to prove his ability to play at a high level and each year continues to put up league high offensive numbers.
Ethan Nother is a great example of a player who remained in the Midget program to develop his hockey skills in lieu of starting junior early, had success in both Midget and Jr. hockey and achieved a NCAA D1 scholarship.
We congratulate Ethan on his perseverance and elite skill level and wish him continued success with the Bemidji State Beavers. We want to continue to hear "and aNother goal by Ethan Nother!" by announcers around the rink.
