The London Jr Knights Minor Atom AA (White) team captured the Chatham Regional Silver Stick Challenge Cup this past weekend and are excited to move onto the Silver Stick Finals in Newmarket January 11-13, 2019.
Friday started with 2 games. In a rematch of a round robin game in our Green & White tournament, we played the Riverside Rangers and skated to a 2-2 tie. Later that day, had us driving to Tilbury for a win over the Windsor Jr Spitfires.
Saturday we saw only 1 game against the Mississauga Blackhawks for a 5-2 win.
Sunday’s semi final match up was against the home town Kent Cobras. The boys came out flying to a 6-1 win and a spot in the finals later that afternoon for a rematch against the Riverside Rangers. The team worked hard for the full game and came home with a 6-2 win and a birth to the finals in January. Congrats on the tournament win and good luck in January!
