JR KNIGHTS FALL TO FLYERS IN HILL HOCKEY BARDOWN CLASSIC FINAL!
by Scott Greguol: This past weekend the Jr Knights were in Toronto to participate in the Hill Hockey BarDown Classic.
The event featured some strong Midget AAA teams as well as some U18 and Private School teams from Ontario and the United States. Results were:
Round Robin Game 1 vs Syracuse Stars (Mountain) - WIN 5-0
Round Robin Game 2 vs Kingston Jr Frontenacs - WIN 2-1
Round Robin Game 3 vs Everest Academy - WIN 6-1
Round Robin Game 4 vs Little Caesars Nitro - TIE 2-2
Quarter-Final vs Hill Academy U18 - WIN 4-2
Semi-Final vs Ottawa Senators - WIN 3-1
Final vs Don Mills Flyers - LOSS 4-1
Despite not coming home with the Championship banner, the Jr Knights should be holding their heads high after a great weekend of hockey. The boys played extremely well and competed strong throughout the weekend against some very good hockey teams. Congratulations!
